WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $6, and meals consist of stuffed chicken breast, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and a brownie. No need to get out of the car; drive up to the door and someone will take dinners out to you. A portion of each month’s profits is used for mission projects locally and internationally.

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

American Legion FDR Post 560 will have a fish and shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. at the post, 103 12th St., Campbell. The menu will include french fries, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and haluski. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi, while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling 330-746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., is selling tickets for an Amish dinner to be served from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Cost is $13 for adults and $8 for children 4 to 12, and tickets can be obtained by calling the church office at 330-758-4527. Children 3 and under eat free. Takeouts will be available.

Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., Girard, is having its annual creamed chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dinners cost $7 and include green beans and dessert. Carryout and drive-through service will be available.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, Route 46 and Kirk Road, Austintown, will have an all-you-can eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Meals cost $5 and include sausages, juice, and coffee or tea.

Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington, will serve Swiss steak dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Dinners are served with gravy, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, beverage and dessert. Takeouts are available.

Washingtonville VFW Post 5532, 575 County Road, Washingtonville, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 3 to 8 p.m. Dinners include meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children under 10. Carryouts will be available; call 330-427-2355.

SUNDAY

Aut Mori Grotto will serve a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at Argus Park, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children under 4. Proceeds will benefit local charities.

Fowler Fire Department, state Route 193, will have its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost for adults is $6, for seniors, $5, and children, $4. Preschoolers eat free.

Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., Kinsman, will be the site of a ham dinner from noon to 2 p.m. sponsored by the men’s organization. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. For more information call 330-876-4485.

TAKING ORDERS

Youngstown American Hungarian Club is taking carryout orders for stuffed cabbage. The cost is $13 for a dozen. Containers are $1.25 each, or provide you own. Place orders by calling 330-792-5124. Berlin Ellsworth Ruritans will serve Swiss steak suppers from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at Western Reserve High School, state Route 224, Berlin Center. The cost is $9.50 in advance and $10 at the door for adults; $5 for children 4 to 10, and free for those 3 and under. Purchase tickets from any Ruritan member, at Denny’s Auto Supply, 6999 S. Friends of Transit will have an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 30 at St. Patrick Church, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are being sold in advance and at the door. Adult tickets are $10 each, children 6 to 10 are $5, and those 5 and under eat free. Salad, desserts and nonalcoholic beverages are included in the meal. Takeouts will be available.

Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, Newton Falls, will have a home-cooked supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19. The meal will be consist of an individual chicken pot pie, pirogi, potatoes, salad, roll, homemade desserts and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for children under 5. Carryouts will be available.

St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, will be the site of a spaghetti dinner hosted by the Knights of Columbus Father Venglarik Council 11915 between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 23 in the church hall. The dinner will be a joint venture with Men and Women United for Life. Dinners offered are spaghetti and meatballs for $7 and chicken Parmesan for $8.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., will serve roast pork dinners beginning at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 23.
