Arrest made in South Side stabbing
YOUNGSTOWN — Police made an arrest in the stabbing of a man at a gas station on Market Street.
Christopher Harrison, 26, of Breaden Avenue in Youngstown was found bleeding profusely from a neck wound inside the door of a Shell station store at 3200 Market around 3 a.m. today, police report.
Antonio Morales, 23, of Youngstown was arrested at a house on Buell Street in Campbell and charged with aggravated assault. Police said Harrison’s injury is from a knife.
Police said that when they got to the gas station, witnesses took them to a spot on West Avondale Avenue, where the fight that resulted in Harrison’s injury had started. A heavy blood trail led to the store.
Morales had fled, but two witnesses identified him as the person who had stabbed Harrison, police said.
Morales was arrested later in the day at the Buell residence after police traced the car he was driving there, the report said. They found him smoking a cigarette near the car and arrested him without a struggle, the report said.
Harrison was listed in critical condition at the hospital, the report said.
The hospital said late tonight it would not release any more information on his condition.
