Police: Man raped woman, killed her uncle

HAZLETON, Pa. (AP) — Police say the suspect in a fatal shooting over the weekend raped a member of the victim’s family in a room she shared with her two small children shortly before the killing.

Hazleton police say they’re searching for 38-year-old Rafael Enrique Gonzalez-Aguirre in Saturday’s shooting death of 30-year-old Cesar Robles.

Investigators said that Gonzalez-Aguirre was staying with the family when he raped Robles’ niece in an upstairs bedroom. Police say Robles approached Gonzalez-Aguirre in a stairway and was fatally shot in the back.

Gonzalez-Aguirre should be considered armed and dangerous.
