YOUNGSTOWN

An Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 spokesman said construction is ongoing along Interstate 680 in Campbell, Struthers and Youngstown.

The entrance and exit ramps on I-680 northbound and southbound between South Avenue and Western Reserve Road will have various restrictions for pavement repairs, said Brent Kovacs, ODOT spokesman, in a news release.

All ramps will remain open, and construction should end in mid-October, weather-permitting.

New projects from ODOT are:

In Struthers, Center Street from the northern Struthers limit to Midlothian Boulevard and 5th Street from Clingan Road to Lowellville Road will have various lane restrictions for resurfacing beginning Thursday. ODOT officials said one lane of traffic will be open at all times and the project should be complete in mid-November.

Beginning Friday, state Route 11 northbound ramp to Interstate-80 westbound will be closed for about 30 days for repairs. Detours will be posted. The estimated completion date is mid-November.

Until further notice, state Route 289 in Lowellville will have various lane restrictions for drainage repairs. The project should be complete by mid-October.

In Green Township, state Route 165 just east of U.S. Route 62 is closed for a culvert replacement. The completion date is scheduled for mid-October.
