Nagys mark golden event at buffet dinner

YOUNGSTOWN

A buffet dinner on Sept. 11 at Highway Family, Raccoon Road, celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of James W. and Arlene M. Nagy of Youngstown.

Invitations were issued for the event hosted by the couple’s sons, Gary of Diamond, Alex of Hadley, Pa., and James W. II of Austintown.

The couple also have eight grandchildren.

Mr. Nagy and the former Arlene Margosiak were married Sept. 14, 1961, at St. Michael Carpatho Russian Church in Youngstown, while Mr. Nagy was serving in the U.S. Army.

Mrs. Nagy was a staff nurse at South Side Hospital for 26 years then transferred to Tod Children’s Hospital for 18 years in the pediatric clinic before retiring in 2005.

Mr. Nagy was employed by Syro Steel/Trinity in Girard for 36 years as a rolling mill operator. He retired in 1996.

They are members of Hungarian Presbyterian Church.
