Educator pens book for young mothers

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

Dr. Juliann Mangino of New Castle, an educator who has worked with young parents for nearly a decade, has written a book for young mothers titled “ABCs for Mommy!”

“There are plenty of services for young mothers to learn about nap schedules, breast-feeding and tummy time, but there seems to be a void for young mothers to learn how to incorporate, or strengthen, character traits in their own lives,” said Dr. Mangino.

“ABCs for Mommy!” helps young mothers build character, which is essential for the success of mother and child.

It includes lessons, activities and exercises to help a young mother facing the challenges of school, work and child rearing.

Dr. Mangino earned her doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.
