“Community Connection” (7 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): The American Diabetes Association of Northeast Ohio will have its Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes on Oct. 16. Jennifer Knechtel and Rileigh Cavin of the association will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the event and how the community can get involved. Rileigh is a child ambassador of the organization and has lived with juvenile diabetes all her life of 5 years.

Next, Steven Mickel and Juanita Byrd will discuss the 92nd annual Freedom Fund Banquet of the Youngstown Branch National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The guest speaker for the event will be Ohio Supreme Court Justice Yvette McGee Brown, and the theme for the event is “We Are One.”

Ghost Walk seeks guides, volunteers

Ghost Walk 2011 is seeking guides and volunteers.
