The man accused of committing a robbery Sunday at the home on Jefferson Street Southwest where two people were killed has pleaded innocent to the charge.

Rickey D. Roupe Jr., 29, of Jefferson Street Southwest, pleaded innocent Thursday to felony burglary in Warren Municipal Court. He is in the Trumbull County jail without eligibility to make bond.

If convicted, Roupe faces up to eight years in prison.

Police arrested Roupe on Wednesday and recovered the television set he is accused of stealing, police said.

Philip J. Mann Jr., 36, of Middlefield, reported the robbery the day after police discovered the bodies of his father, Philip J. Mann Sr., 59, and his stepmother Frances Mann, 53, inside the home at 1686 Jefferson St. SW, where the Manns lived with their son, Louis Mann, 31.

Louis Mann was arrested Saturday in the killings and is charged with two counts of aggravated murder.

Louis R. Mann told police he strangled his mother with a clothesline during an argument, then “took out 31 years of rage” on his father by hitting him in the head with a flashlight and shooting him.
