Candidates forum is open to the public

YOUNGSTOWN

The public is invited to a candidates forum at 6:30 p.m. Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., sponsored by the Junior Civic League and the Community Mobilization Committee.

Featured will be candidates and issues that will be on the Nov. 8 general election ballot, including the candidates for the Youngstown City Schools Board of Education (four seats to elect), 1st and 5th Ward city council seats and city clerk of courts.

Those who attend will get the opportunity to meet the candidates, hear their positions and discuss the issues.

Susan Moorer, vice president of the Junior Civic League, will moderate. Cynthia L. Mason is the league’s president.
