Zombies again will invade downtown

The annual Zombie Crawl will be Oct. 22 in downtown Youngstown.
Registration will begin at 2 p.m. that day in the Anthony’s on the River parking lot on Oak Hill Avenue. The fee is $3 and includes a wrist band that entitles the wearer to rides on the shuttle bus between participating bars, as well as food and drink specials.
Proceeds will benefit the Youngstown Community Tool Shed, which lends common household and garden tools.
Makeup artists will be at Anthony’s and at nearby Oak Hill Cemetery. The Mahoning Valley Historical Society will provide walking tour maps of the cemetery.
At 6:45 p.m., the Zombie Crawl will begin. Participants will make their way across the Mahoning Avenue Bridge, down Federal Street, to Central Square. There, the Thrill the World dancers will welcome the Zombies with a group performance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” dance.
From Central Square, participants can begin visiting the following participating bars: The Royal Oaks, The MVR, Cafe Cimmento, Buffalo Wild Wings, Barley’s, Downtown 36, Old Precinct, Imbibe, The Lemon Grove, Club Exclusive, Box Car Lounge, The Draught House and Inner Circle.
