McDonald sweeps ITCL cross country championships

MCDONALD
The McDonald cross country progam further extended its dominance with a pair of team wins on Tuesday.
The boys took the Inter Tri-County League title with 16 points and the girls won with 52.
The Blue Devils hosted the meet at Woodland Park.
Six McDonald boys finished in the top 10, they included Tyler Smith, Kyle Joynes, Bobby Johnson, Patrick Kunkel, Allan Coviello and Patrick McCarthy.
South Range’s Ryan Roush came in first overall with 16 minutes, 41 second time. His Raider teammate, Tim Nichols, placed second with a 17:02.
Ashley Lydic of Columbiana ran a 21:06 to take the girls top spot. Lisbon’s Carmen Phillips was right behind and Monica Patrick of South Range placed third.
South Range girls, with 64 points, were second overall and Lisbon’s 95 points earned third.
On the boys side, United had 71 points for second and with 83, Mineral Ridge came in third.
