Woodland walks for families at Villa Maria

VILLA MARIA, Pa.

In honor of the 2011 U.N. International Year of Forests, four seasonal woodland walks for families are planned at Villa Maria Education & Spirituality Center. Autumn walks are either Oct. 16 or 20 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The theme is “Litter Bugs.”

The walks will include kid-friendly activities and a take-home project.

Sister Jeanne Thurin, a nun of the Humility of Mary and an environmental-education program associate at Villa Maria, will be the leader.
