WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The meal includes stuffed chicken breast with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and brownie. Cost is $7.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts, call (330) 654-5630.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi, while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pierogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528. and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling 330-746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Also available will be four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp with french fries or macaroni and cheese. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $7 for seniors.

SATURDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, at the junction of state Routes 164 and 165, will have its semiannual barbecue chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The dinner includes baked potato, applesauce, green beans, roll and butter, and pie. Cost is $9 for adults and $6.50 for children 12 and younger. Takeouts will be available, and a craft sale and bake sale will also take place. Proceeds will be used to further the church ministries. Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St., Youngstown, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Dinner includes mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, vegetable, rolls and butter, a beverage and a variety of desserts. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Carryouts will be available.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult dinners are $9 each; children’s meals are $5. Mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, dessert and beverage are included.

SUNDAY

North Beaver Township Volunteer Fire Department, 969 Mount Jackson Road, New Castle, Pa., will have a braised steak dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fire hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12. Takeouts will be available. For information call 724-667-8490.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. All carryouts are $7; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own. Mother of the Crucifix Society members will conduct a bake sale during the dinner.

Poland Band Parents will serve their annual spaghetti dinner from noon to 6 p.m. at Poland Seminary High School cafeteria. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children. After the dinner, the PSHS Wind Ensemble will present its annual free Fall Pops Concert in the auditorium.

TUESDAY

Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., is selling tickets for an Amish dinner to be served from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Oct. 15. West Austintown First United Methodist Church, 6749 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, is selling advance tickets only for a creamed chicken and biscuit dinner on Oct. 22. Serving will be at 5 and 6 p.m., and meals will include mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, dessert and a beverage.
