SUV misses curve on I-680 North

YOUNGSTOWN

The driver of a sport utility vehicle failed to make the curve on I-680 just north of the Connecticut Avenue/Belle Vista exit around 5:45 p.m. today, hit the ditch and came to rest against the abutment of the 711 Connector overpass.

Witnesses said the there were no passengers in the vehicle and that the driver, who was transported to the hospital for treatment, appeared to not be seriously injured. The SUV was damaged in the front and had to be towed.
