Michael Jr. and Debra Kovach of Struthers are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Amanda E. Kovach of Struthers, to Alex Perez of Jacksonville, N.C., son of Robin and Larry Palante of Struthers and Alejanro and Paula Perez of Youngstown.

The couple will wed in an open ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 11 in Bethel Lutheran Church, Boardman. Invitations will be issued for an evening reception at The Embassy in Youngstown.

The bride-elect is a lead teacher at Kidstown in Boardman. The prospective groom is a lance corporal in the Marine Corps, stationed in Jacksonville. Both attended Youngstown State University.
