Wheatland Tube workers ratify new contract

sHARON, PA.

The union comprised of nearly 400 Wheatland Tube workers has ratified a new five-year agreement with the company.

United Steel Workers Local 1660 President Andy Harkulich said union members voted late Sunday 376-33 in favor of the contract, which calls for raises totaling $2.50 an hour by the end of the contract.

“As long as the company continues to improve and invest and we continue to get a fair deal, we’ll keep agreeing to contracts,” Harkulich said.
