UAW 1714, GM still working on local contract agreement

LORDSTOWN

United Auto Workers Local 1714 is still hammering out details for a new local contract agreement.

President Dave Green told The Vindicator today that the two sides are close to a deal. Local contracts deal primarily with working conditions.

“This week for sure we’ll be ready to get that information out and we’ll have an agreement,” he said.

Local 1714 has approximately 1,450 workers.

UAW Local 1112, with about 3,200 workers, ratified its local agreement last week. Both sides have passed the new four-year national agreement.
