Busy day today for Youngstown officials

YOUNGSTOWN — It’s going to be busy today for those in Youngstown government.

Police Chief Rod Foley is discussing the restructuring of the police department at a 10 a.m. meeting with city council’s safety committee.

At 5 p.m., Mayor Charles Sammarone and members of his administration will provide details to council’s housing and economic development committee about housing code enforcement.

The mayor may also decide today what will be done with the food-and-beverage vendor contract at the city-owned Covelli Centre.
