MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Oct. 5: Ham, tossed salad, carrot raisin salad, fresh orange, mustard packet, low-cal Italian dressing, Krispie Kreem cookie or two slices bread, milk.

Thursday, Oct. 6: Beef patty, baked potato, broccoli, unsweetened diced pears, catsup packet, sugar cookie or sugar-free cookie, margarine, fat free sour cream, bun, milk.

Friday, Oct. 7: Flame-broiled chicken breast, corn, collard greens, watermelon cubes, one slice bread, honey packet, fig bar or sugar-free cookie, banana muffin, milk.

Saturday, Oct. 8: Turkey breast and cheese, tossed salad, carrot raisin salad, unsweetened fruit cocktail, mustard packet, low cal Italian dressing packet, Krispie Kreem cookie or sugar-free cookie, hamburger bun, milk.

Monday, Oct. 10: Macaroni & cheese, french cut green beans, sliced carrots, unsweetened fruit cocktail, one slice bread and margarine packet, fig bar or sugar-free cookie, milk.

Tuesday, Oct. 11: Roasted chicken leg, spudsters, mixed vegetables, unsweetened pineapple tidbits, one slice bread with jelly packet, cloud cake or sugar-free cookie, milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, Oct. 5: Penne pasta with meatballs, Italian green beans, shredded lettuce with Italian dressing, one slice bread and margarine, diced pears, milk.

Thursday, Oct. 6: Teriyaki chicken, au gratin potatoes, oriental mixed vegetables, rye bread with margarine, fruit mix, milk.

Friday, Oct. 7: Ham slice with pineapple, mashed yams, creamed corn, wheat bread with margarine, diced peaches, milk.

Tuesday, Oct. 11: Johnny marzetti, cauliflower, lima beans, white bread and margarine, fruit mix, milk.
