MONDAY

McDonald will meet at 6 p.m. in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

TUESDAY

Daisy Dozen Boot Camp is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 18 at All Points, 822 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland. Jodi Beck, instructor and fitness expert, will demonstrate and speak on the benefits of pilates, yoga and strength training. Attendees will have the opportunity to try the routines or just observe. Dress casually or in workout attire. Enter by the back door and take the steps to the lower level. Dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m. at Stonebridge Inn, U.S. Route 224. Daphne will meet at noon at Poland United Methodist Church to drive to lunch at Olive Garden. A program on “Garden Therapy” will be given at Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland, 335 W. McKinley Way. Coordinator is Earline Gotthardt.

Ikebana Youngstown will meet at 9 a.m. for two classes on the Ichiyo School with master instructor Shirley Winkler, who will provide instruction sheets.

WEDNESDAY

Mahoning will meet at noon in the Kidston Classroom at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Garden. Sharon Henry will present a program on The Three Sisters’ Garden and traditional Native American vegetable gardening. Hostesses are Marilyn Chiu and Joanne Lewis. Finger food will be served.

Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown will have its monthly membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Guest speaker Ron Eiselsrein will detail his interest in shrimp farming. Call Bob McGowan at 330-518-6397 for reservations. Guests are welcome. The annual fall breakfast is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 22 at Fellows. Guest speaker Jerich Domin will talk about the Stavich Trail Beautification Project.

THURSDAY

St. Charles will meet at 7 p.m. in the St. Matthew Room in the Ministries Buildings. Rodger Meyers of American Beauty Landscaping will present a program on perennials and bulbs. Hostesses are Mary Ann Donnadio, Judy Farmer and Angie Fecko.

Sweetbriar will meet for a program called “Make it, bake, it sew it, grow it.” Hostess is Sandy Mitchell; co-hostess is Erma Adams.

Garden club events are published Sunday. Please submit information to the Society Department by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
