Boyers mark 50th with family trip, parties, brunch

AUSTINTOWN

Patricia and Robert Boyer of Austintown marked their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 16 with a celebration at Paradise Lutheran Church in Canfield.

The event was hosted by their children, Linda Wray of Canfield, and Robert A. and Evelyn Solorzano Boyer of Flower Mound, Texas.

Their daughter also hosted a party that day after church, and the couple hosted a brunch Sept. 17 at Lucianno’s for Mr. Boyer’s 11 sisters and their spouses.

Afterward, the family left for a trip to Canada.

Mr. Boyer and the former Patricia Shood were married Sept. 16, 1961, at West Side Baptist Church, Youngstown.

Mrs. Boyer is a medical assistant to Dr. Jose A. Torres of Warren. Mr. Boyer, who served in Germany with the Army, retired in 1994 from Youngstown Welding & Engineering, where he was a machinist.

The couple are members of Paradise Lutheran Church.
