The leadership and staff at Ursuline Preschool and Kindergarten are passionate about making students and their brothers, sisters and parents feel like part of the Ursuline family.

So, to give an official welcome to the UPSK gang, the school hosted its third annual Fall Fest, featuring plenty of games, food and entertainment on Sept. 11.

“Everyone is invited to our Fall Fest — aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents are visiting with their students. There are even Ursuline alums who are happy to take a look around and say hello,” said event coordinator Ann Meister.

‘We’re immensely proud of our school and it’s great to share that with our Ursuline family. It’s a great day where everyone is involved and we really celebrate the great community we’ve made here,” added fellow coordinator Mary York.

The school provided a completely free afternoon of entertainment. Outside, families played catch, tried out cornhole, practiced their aim in a football toss and kept testy balloons floating in the air with a fan. Staff and teachers volunteered the activity area and introduced themselves to new students and their families.

In the school’s auditorium, lunch was served and local band “Hey Kid!” provided entertainment. Because her son is a kindergarten student at UPSK, “Hey Kid!” singer Leigh Jaffer promised an exciting show, and the band delivered.
