Thanks to Greenwood Chevrolet and the Canfield Rotary, Lake Milton resident Rosemary Chase received the keys to a free Chevy Cruze LTZ on Sept. 8.

Representatives from both organizations joined Rosemary Chase and her husband, Ralph, at Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown to award Chase with her fully-loaded, Lordstown-built Cruze.

The impressive prize was part of the Canfield Rotary’s Cruze raffle, with funds raised from the contest benefitting Hospice of the Valley and community projects in Canfield. The contest raised more than $75,000 to be reinvested into the community.

During a brief presentation, Greenwood Chevrolet owner Greg Greenwood noted that Sept. 8 was a fitting day to give away a Lordstown-built Cruze.

“One year ago today, the first Cruze rolled off the assembly line in Lordstown, and today, a Cruze is going to a very lucky Valley resident. We can make wonderful things happen when we continue to work together and invest in our Valley,” Greenwood noted.

After receiving her keys, Chase shared how thankful she was for her prize and offered her gratitude to the community organizations present.

“I’ve donated to Hospice for many years and I greatly admire the work that the Rotary does. I entered my name in the contest because I believe in the work that they do – I never thought I would actually win. It’s a very beautiful car and I’m still a little bit in shock,” Chase said.
