YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested seven protesters today after they blocked trucks from entering and leaving a D&L Energy well site.

At about noon, protestors stood in front of a truck leaving the Ohio Works Drive brine injection well.

Police Chief Rod Foley ordered their arrests after speaking to the protest's organizer, Ben Shapiro, who was one of the seven arrested.

In the exchange, Shapiro told Foley they were willing to be arrested without resistance.

After the exchange, Foley order the group's arrests, charging the seven with disorderly conduct.

Foley said they will be arraigned Thursday.
