The accident happened Tuesday morning and the highway was reopened at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, said Justin Chesnic, Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 spokesman.
“We used some sand and [other materials] to clean the road and since it’s raining, it wasn’t as effective,” Chesnic said. Chesnic said although a small amount of fuel leaked, it took a while to drain the fuel and transfer it to another truck.
