Fresh deer kill stolen at Pa. hunting camp

TIDIOUTE, Pa. (AP) — State police say somebody has stolen a most prized possession from a northwestern Pennsylvania hunting camp: a 7-point buck taken on the first day of rifle deer season.

Troopers from the Warren barracks say a hunter from Painesville, Ohio, reported the freshly killed deer was stolen Monday, sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The victim, whose name police are not releasing, had killed the deer legally earlier in the day.

The hunting camp is located in Triumph Township, about 90 miles north northeast of Pittsburgh.
