NEWCOMERSTOWN

A massive and fast-moving fire at an Ohio insulation factory that sent flames shooting two stories high and caused the building’s walls to collapse continued to smolder Monday evening.

Authorities say no injuries were reported in the fire that broke out Sunday night at Janesville Acoustics in Newcomerstown, about 85 miles south of Cleveland.

The state fire marshal’s office says the still- smoldering fire prevented investigators from reaching all parts of the site on Monday. They will continue their probe of the blaze Tuesday.

The fire marshal’s office said it was too early to say whether the fire was an accident or set deliberately. It wasn’t immediately clear how or where it started.

The blaze drew firefighters from more than 15 departments.

The company makes weather and sound insulation for automobiles.
