Staff report

youngstown

Special-needs high-school students from Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties are invited to a Winterfest Dance from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. next Monday at the Mahoning Country Club.

There is no cost to the students, but RSVPs are required by Friday by either calling Jeanne Constantino at East High School, 330-740-4005, ext. 4148, or emailing her at jeanne.constantino@youngstown.k12.oh.us so the venue knows how much food to prepare.

Drop-off for the dance is from 4:30 to 5 p.m. with dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by dancing until 8:30 p.m. Parents will not be permitted at the event between 5 and 8:30 p.m. so the students may enjoy socializing with their peers.

Dress is semi-formal. A professional photographer will be there to take photos, and Santa, Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves also will make an appearance.

A snow prince and princess will be crowned during the evening, and there will be a random drawing for the dance court.

This marks the 11th annual Winterfest Dance.
