Auction to help injured local artist

YOUNGSTOWN

Local artist and art collector Scott Pergande recently was assaulted in his garden. As a result of the violence, he lost the vision in his left eye and suffered many other injuries.

He has undergone one surgery and has been unable to work for months. His eye is healing and he is waiting for a lens replacement.

An art auction benefit to help with his medical bills will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Lemon Grove.

The works will be on display for bidding during regular business hours.

The benefit will feature a silent auction and chance auction of selected works from his collection and some of his own work.
