Alzheimer’s awards are bestowed

Julie Filipovich was honored recently for her volunteer work with the Alzheimer’s Network and her continued donations for research.

After a research lecture by Lori Macedonia, clinical coordinator of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, two research donations were presented to Macedonia and Mary Ann Oakley, also of the center, to further the work at the center.

Filipovich was specially honored and an additional check presented because of her efforts.
