Girl Scouts make a difference

They’re making a difference: The girls of Girl Scout Troop 301 have completed two of their 10 monthly community service activities in their Year of Service project. The girls, who live in Youngstown, Girard, McDonald, Canfield, Austintown, Mineral Ridge and Liberty, are excited to be helping their communities. In October, they participated in Make a Difference Day, when they collected more than 30 bags of garbage in a section of Mill Creek Park. Some of the girls also raked leaves for their neighbors who are unable to. On Nov. 5, they donated clothing to the local Goodwill for Goodwill Good Turn Day. For their December project they will adopt a local family and spend their troop savings to brighten their Christmas. From left to right are Emma Reardon, Elizabeth Neff, A.J.
