ASSOCIATIONS

American Business Women’s Association, Mill Creek Chapter, will have a Christmas celebration beginning at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. The cost for dinner is $22, and reservations by Dec. 4 can be made with Mary Lou McCarthy at 330-758-2193 or Shirley Pappagallo at 330-270-9779. Entr es will be a choice of chicken fran ßaise , veal Parmesan or baked scrod. Accompaniments include salad, au gratin potatoes, carrots, bread and butter, assorted pies and a beverage. Members and guests may take a $10 gift for a gift exchange, and contributions will be collected for the Sojourner House. There will be entertainment and a short meeting.

Gold Wing Road Riders Association will meet Saturday at Yankee Kitchen, 6635 Market St., Boardman. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. and the meeting at 6.

Trumbull Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St., Niles. Students of the Lakeview High School Choir will entertain. Community service, chaired by Betty Jean Bahmer, will be collecting cash or check donations for second Harvest Food Bank. Yarn, cell phones, hearing aids, used candles and canceled stamps also will be collected. Centerpieces at the meeting, tabletop trees and wreaths will be sold, and proceeds donated to Mobile Meals. Two tables of jewelry and scarves will be set up for Christmas shopping , with a percentage of profits going to the TRTA Scholarship Fund.

Southington So Sews of the American Sewing Guild-Niles Chapter Neighborhood Groups will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Southington Christian Church, state Route 534, Southington. There will be a holiday gift exchange; for gift exchange details call Dot Porter at 330-654-5676.

POLITICAL CLUBS

Girard Men’s Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parkwood Youth Center.

Warren Republican Women’s Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday for an auction, from which all proceeds will benefit the Toys For Tots campaign. Crafts, gift baskets and baked goods for the auction and new toys for the campaign are being accepted. Hostess is Dorie Harris, and honored guests will be representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the rosary in the church, followed by the meeting in the church hall, 618 Ohio Ave.

Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will host “A Christmas Tradition” luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Avion on the Water, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The program will feature a Santa’s gift give-away and music by Bill Rotar; the guest speaker will be Joan Wurst. The cost to attend is $13 and includes lunch. DARE Singles Group is a social group for divorced, widowed and separated people. SOCIETIES

Hubbard Historical Society will have its annual dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 at Oak Tree Country Club. The menu includes chicken scallopini, baked ziti, sweet and white potatoes, saut ed vegetables, salad, rolls and butter, dessert and a beverage. SUPPORT GROUPS

Reformers Unanimous, a national Christ-centered addiction program headquartered in Rockford, Ill., meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays at Glenwood Christian Fellowship, 7872 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. The program is open to all adults who struggle with an addiction or a stubborn habit.

TOPS 327 will meet Monday at Christ Church Presbyterian, 1933 Canfield Road, Boardman. Weigh-in is from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7. The first meeting is free. Guests are welcome. For information call 330-799-9660 or 330-779-0144.
