A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Girard and Liberty:

HUBBARD

Nov. 17

Assault: Police received information about an argument between two drivers near Wendemere Drive in which one motorist reportedly struck the other with a baseball bat.

Harassment: A Church Street woman reported getting such calls.

Vandalism: A man reported his daughter’s vehicle was damaged at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.

Nov. 18

Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged in the 800 block of South Main Street.

Menacing: A man said his mother, of West Park Avenue, was threatened by another tenant.

Theft: Items were stolen from a residence in the 50 block of West Park Avenue.

Menacing: A Mosinee, Wis., woman reported what she believed were threats on the Facebook page of her niece of Hubbard.

GIRARD

Nov. 16

Misuse of a credit card: A Greenwood Avenue man found out someone had withdrawn $1,500 with his debit card and without authorization.

Identity fraud: A North Highland Avenue woman reported being informed that her bank-account number had been used to make a $142 fraudulent charge in British Columbia, Canada.

Menacing: An East Prospect Street man reported receiving threatening text messages.

Criminal mischief: A Stull Avenue man found a damaged sign as well as a burned box and its contents in his yard.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Highland Dairy, 722 N. Highland Ave., through a rear door, disabled the alarm, dragged a safe and destroyed an automated-teller machine before stealing an undisclosed sum of money.

Breaking and entering: Someone pried open a side door to a home in the 400 block of East Liberty Street and took $8,185 worth of merchandise, including two high-definition TVs, a laptop computer and various tools.

Nov. 17

Arrest: Police responded to someone kicking over road-construction cones near U.S. Route 422 before charging William J. Walker, 20, of 3500 Boston Ave., Warren, with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Walker acted aggressively toward officers and initially refused to comply, a report said.

Nov. 18

Theft: An Abbey Street woman reported the theft of her $200 cellphone.

Theft: An East Main Street woman discovered a variety of medications and $20 missing.

Nov. 20

Robbery: A worker for Dollar General, 501 Church Hill Road, told police a man about 5 feet 6 inches tall wearing a black sweat shirt and hood and a blue bandanna demanded money by simulating having a weapon in his pocket. He was handed an undisclosed amount before fleeing on foot.

Theft: A $50 bicycle was stolen from a driveway in the 100 block of East Wilson Avenue.

Aggravated menacing: An East Wilson Avenue woman reported several threatening notes were delivered to her.

LIBERTY

Nov. 16

Assault: A worker with Belmont Pines Hospital, 615 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, reported a 17-year-old patient pushed him backward and dragged him across a desk.

Identity fraud: A Fifth Avenue woman learned someone had hacked into her Facebook account and changed her password without permission.

Drugs: While responding to suspicious activity near Colonial Drive, authorities charged Hubert Williams, 51, of 1336 Liberty Road, Youngstown, and Albert N. Jenkins, 57, of 2555 Mount Vernon Ave., Youngstown, with marijuana possession after saying two small bags of suspected marijuana were found. Jenkins also was charged with disorderly conduct when, police said, they saw him urinating in a parking lot.

Theft: A wallet was removed from a vehicle in the 5700 block of Sampson Drive.

Arrest: A traffic stop on Belmont Avenue led to the arrest of 36-year-old Carl M. Morgan, 21 James Lane, Girard, on two felony warrants, including a charge of failure to pay court-ordered child support.

Nov. 17

Misuse of a credit card: A Colonial Drive woman found two unauthorized transactions had been made with her credit cards totaling $416.

Arrest: Township police booked 31-year-old Carl T. Fisher, 358 E. Auburndale Ave., Youngstown, on a probation-violation charge.

Arrest: Police responded to a stolen vehicle near Tibbetts-Wick Road before apprehending 31-year-old Daniel T. Campbell, 829 W. Park Ave., Niles, on felony charges of receiving stolen property and failure to comply with police. Campbell, who also faced a misdemeanor charge of possession of a drug-abuse instrument, led officers on a vehicular pursuit before striking a tree and fleeing on foot, a report showed.

Aggravated menacing: A Scott Lane man alleged his wife has made and sent roughly 100 unwanted calls and 300 text messages a day, including a text message he thought suggested someone would be hired to kill him.

Theft: A Twin Oaks Drive woman reported a 12-inch subwoofer, a 200-watt amplifier and other items stolen from her car.

Nov. 18

Assault: A man reported his son had been kicked in the groin and punched in the mouth while at Belmont Pines Hospital. The boy was treated for various injuries.

Drugs: Police stopped a vehicle on state Route 193, then charged 21-year-old Joseph D. Burdick, 44 Sherrard Ave., Greenville, Pa., with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A police dog led to the discovery of a bag containing 8 grams of suspected cocaine, a suspected marijuana pipe and 0.5 gram of suspected marijuana, a report said. Burdick also was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with intent to distribute drugs.

Arrest: Police near Goldie Road picked up 34-year-old Latrese Dawson, 174 W. Dennick Ave., Youngstown, who was wanted on a charge of failure to appear in court.

Nov. 19

Theft: Two girls, 11 and 17, and a 43-year-old woman, all of Youngstown, reportedly stole food and lip gloss from Walmart, 200 Goldie Road. A charge was pending against the woman, though none were to be filed against the girls.

Arrest: Cortni D. Rankin, 20, of 103 W. Main St., East Palestine, was arrested at the Mahoning County jail, accused of failing to appear for a violation-of-probation hearing.

Theft: Two men and a woman stole $100 worth of clothing and other items from Cititrends, 3489 Belmont Ave.

Nov. 20

Arrest: Police at the Mahoning County jail took custody of Brittany N. Jordan, 24, of 1957 Donald Ave., Youngstown. She was accused of failing to appear in court.

Recovered property: A $100 bicycle was found abandoned in a yard in the 1300 block of Country Club Lane.

Arrest: Isaiah Garron, 43, of 2204 Coronado Ave., Youngstown, was charged with driving under the influence after having been pulled over on Belmont Avenue.

Arrest: Weathersfield Township police handed 25-year-old Ross Vaughn to township authorities. Vaughn, of 1439 Lincoln St., Mineral Ridge, was accused of failing to appear in court on a probation-violation charge.
