Youngstown police make drug arrest

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

A city man suspected of drug transactions at the Western Reserve Transit Authority downtown bus terminal is being held in the Mahoning County Jail.

The 24-year-old man has been charged with two counts of possession of drugs. He is expected to appear before a municipal court judge for arraignment today.

Police were alerted Friday to two men who regularly come to the bus station in a car that is left parked around the corner from the building, stay a short time, then leave.

Police asked the men what they were doing at the station and were told by the men that they were waiting to catch a bus. Neither man could show officers a bus pass.

Officers searched the men and found Hydrocodone and Oxycodone in the pockets of one of the men. Nothing was found on the second man and he was released.
