Upton House to open for free holiday tours

Upton House, 380 Mahoning Ave., will sponsor a free open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2. It will be decorated with the theme “Christmas Splendor.”

Story Time with Mrs. Claus, for children ages 3 to 9, will take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 3:30 to 5 p.m. Dec. 10 and from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 11.

The cost is $10 per child. Mrs. Claus will read stories and an individual picture of each child will be taken. With Mrs. Claus and her helpers, the children will decorate a frame for the photo as well as make craft items. A special child-friendly lunch will be served, and for dessert, they will get a holiday cookie.

Parents and grandparents will be served refreshments in the library.
