SENIOR SIDELIGHTS

Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., blood pressure checks and painting class ($5) at 9:30, bingo at 10, lunch at 11:30 and intermediate computer at noon; Tuesday, trip to Stan Hywet Hall in Akron at 9 a.m. for “Deck the Halls” display, $15 fee for admission and bus when you register, lunch is additional, meet at the senior center, computer practice at 9:30, Veterans Helping Veterans at 10, bridge club and Zumba at 10:30, lunch at 11:30 and bingo at noon; Wednesday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., bingo at 10, lunch at 11:30 and 50-50 drawing at noon; Thursday, closed for Thanksgiving; and Friday, closed. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, men’s and women’s needlecraft club at 8:30 a.m., balance class at 10, and bridge and a movie matinee at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, Lunch Bunch at Vernon’s and Cindy’s Health & Vitality, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., bridge for beginners at 10:30, exercises at noon and digital computer and bingo at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, Austintown Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., watercolor class at 10 a.m., tap class at noon and tai chi at 1 p.m.; Thursday, closed for Thanksgiving; and Friday, closed.
