Career paths and limelight


Dr. Michael W. Shultz recently was appointed to the Farmers Trust Co.’s board of directors. Shultz is board certified in geriatric medicine and family practice and is president and owner of Healthridge Medical Center in Campbell. He has staff privileges at ValleyCare Health System, formerly known as Forum Health, as well as at St. Joseph and St. Elizabeth health centers. His education includes a bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg University, post-baccalaureate in chemistry from the University of Akron, a D.O. from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and a J.D. degree from the University of Akron, School of Law. Shultz, a Canfield resident, is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Ohio Bar Association and the 10th District Academy of Osteopathic Medicine. He serves on the Fellow of American College of Legal Medicine Committee.

Jane Roqueplot, owner and director of JaneCo’s Sensible Solutions, recently was awarded her 12th annual membership into The National R sum Writers Association, a nonprofit member-driven organization dedicated to promoting excellence in r sum writing through certification, education and mentoring programs.

Bob Tyger of B&B Diving recently was honored as a 2011 Platinum Pro 500 Diver at a recent Diving Equipment and Marketing convention in Orlando, Fla. To qualify for the honor, a diver must dive 5,000 times or 2,500 times with documentation of significant contribution to the recreational scuba-diving industry. Individuals must apply for the award and be recommended in writing by two Platinum Pros. Tyger started diving in 1959 and has completed more than 5,300 dives.

Jason T. Mogg recently joined Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic LLC as a team accountant. Mogg received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Youngstown State University. He has accounting and tax-preparation experience at two local firms. Mogg lives in Cornersburg.
