Area places of worship plan special services near and on Thanksgiving Day.

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman: Boardman Ministerial Association will have a combined service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave., Youngstown: A Thanksgiving Day service will be at 11 a.m. The theme is from Philippians 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made unto God.”

Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (PCA), 471 Mathews Road, Boardman: Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday will feature a guest speaker, Garret White of the Coalition for Christian Outreach at Youngstown State University.

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2050 Oakdale Ave., NW, Warren: Community Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Blessed John Paul parish of Christ the King, St. Joseph and St. Piux X, and Calvary Presbyterian Church and Grace United Methodist Church.

First Presbyterian Church, 890 Churchill Road, Girard: A community service is planned at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Pastor Ron Maurer of First Christian Church of Girard will speak. Participants are First Baptist Church, First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Rose Catholic Church and Emmanuel Community Care Center. The offering will go to Emmanuel center to help those in need in the community.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown: Service will be at 10 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.

Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, Canfield: The Canfield community service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Jay Eastman of Canfield Christian Church will speak.

Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran, 2985 Center Road, Poland: A community service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday featuring a combined choir. The Rev. Martin Celuch of Holy Family Church will provide the message. The offering of canned or boxed nonperishable foods is designated for Poland Food Pantry. Participating congregations are Poland Presbyterian Church, Poland United Methodist Church, Heritage Presbyterian Church and Holy Family.

Redeemer Lutheran Church, 305 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown: Thanksgiving Eve service planned at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

St. Mary’s Church, 3504 Main St., Mineral Ridge: A community service with Grace Church of the Nazarene, Church of Christ and Ohltown United Methodist Church is planned at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2860 E. Market St., Warren: An interfaith service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Clergy from Beth Israel Temple Center, Central Christian Church, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will conduct the service.

Trinity United Methodist Church, 2427 Columbiana Road, New Springfield: The annual community service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday and sponsored by Springfield Township Council of Churches and Community. The offering will be donated to STCCC for use in the community.

Unity Centre for Spiritual Living, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, Girard: Thanksgiving eve service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with minister Ric Schumacher speaking.
