Dannie Williams scores another KO

Boardman's Dannie Williams won his eighth straight bout on Friday night, knocking out John Willoughby in the second round in a WBC Continental Americas title defense at the Ameristar Casino.

Williams (20-1, 16 KOs), a St. Louis native who now trains under Jack Loew at the Southside Boxing Club, will next fight an opponent to be named on ESPN on Jan. 6.

Willoughby (3-11) was dropped by a right hand-left hook-right hand combination at 1:59 of the second round.
