During a recent Boardman Rotary Club meeting the group presented a check for $1,000 to Carol Potter and Mike Schaffer of the YMCA for youth programs for the disadvantaged.

In other business:

Elijah Kahn of the Salvation Army was inducted as the newest member of the club. He was proposed by Bob Mastriana.

A special plaque presentation was made by the daughter and grandson of longtime Rotary member Lou Young, who passed away five years ago.

In turn, Paul Harris Award Chairman Tom Davison and Rotary Foundation Chairman Greg Riddle presented a Paul Harris Award to Young’s daughter Denise, from money left to the foundation in his memory.
