Yambar to attend fundraiser at library

Hubbard Public Library will be the site of a fundraiser Tuesday featuring Chris Yambar, writer of The Simpsons Comics, pop artist, clergyman and Grandfather of Independent Comics.

For a $10 donation for each family the program includes the visit with Yambar and several activities, including: a family photo with Santa, make-and-takes, milk and cookies. The Hubbard Choir will sing carols. There will be a small holiday store for children to buy low-cost gifts, a candle and jewelry sale, and comics by Yambar. Proceeds will go to the Hubbard Rotary Foundation for the purchase of a new van for the Homebound Program.

The deadline to register is Wednesday at 5 p.m. Send a check payable to Hubbard Rotary Foundation and the number of family members attending. For more information call Amy Neral at the library, 330-534-3512.
