McGuffey Road Church of Christ, 1101 Miami Ave., Youngstown: A Thanksgiving dinner will be served at 1 p.m. Saturday featuring gospel singing and praise dancers. Hats and gloves for children will be distributed along with a limited amount of school supplies. The church also is supplying transportation, which is wheelchair accessible. Call 330-746-4409. Final run at 2:35, front of Gutknecht Towers; 2:40, front of downtown high rise; 2:45, St. Vincent de Paul Society; and 2:55, Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. People will be picked up and dropped off at estimated times.

St. Vincent de Paul Society, 208 W. Front St., Youngstown: A Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings will be served from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thanksgiving Day.

Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown: A sit-down turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday. To volunteer or donate, call 330-270-5999.

Second Chance Community Outreach Ministry, is serving a free holiday dinner to community members at 5 p.m. Saturday. Doors at the ministry, at 1747 S. Raccoon Road, Suite #1, Austintown, will open at 4 p.m, with dinner to be served at 5 p.m. Music, featuring the southern gospel sounds of Bill and Linda Crank, will start at 6 p.m. The nonprofit ministry, which has existed three years, provides free hot meals to community members, companionship, fellowship and an opportunity to receive free meals as needed, as desired. An additional hot meal will be served from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St., Salem: Local families with help from the community will serve a dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. No reservations are needed for the turkey dinner with all the trimmings at the memorial building, but reservations are required for those who wish delivery to their homes or who need a ride to the building.
