Police ID third murder victim from Wednesday

YOUNGSTOWN — Police have identified Raymond R'amel Hayes, 20, as the city's third murder victim from Wednesday.

Hayes' last known address was on Landsdowne Boulevard on the city's East Side. He was found at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday face-down in a lot on the corner of Knapp Street and Gerwig Avenue with gunshot wounds.

Hayes was also a person of interestin the murder of Adam R. Christian, police confirmed.

Christian, 23, of Youngstown was found Nov. 13 lying in a pool of blood on a sidewalk in the 1400 block of Woodcrest Avenue.

Christian had just left a friend’s house shortly after midnight, when the woman heard the victim scream and several gun shots.
