Hospital unveils new MRI

ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital will host an open house for physicians, guests and employees from 1 to 3 p.m. today to debut its new MRI system.

The open house will take place at the hospital’s Center for Radiology, 2890 Elm Road.

The new 1.5 Tesla MRI allows for high-quality imaging, more-accurate diagnosis, shorter exam times and increased patient safety and comfort.

It is the widest MRI in the industry and can accommodate weight up to 450 pounds. A patient’s head can remain outside of the gantry for most procedures.
