WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., Youngstown, is having a community turkey dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The free dinner includes mashed potatoes, dressing, corn, rolls, dessert and a beverage.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts call (330) 654-5630. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance. There will be no pirogi sales Thanksgiving week.

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling 330-746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell, will sell homemade haluski to be picked up from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the church hall. The donation is $5 a quart. To order call 330-755-0036 or 330-755-4141 from 9 a.m. to noon today.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. There will be no sale on Nov. 25.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. There will be no sale the week of Thanksgiving.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. There will be no sale the week of Thanksgiving.

SATURDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, 589 Park Road SW, Newton Falls, will have a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The meal includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, dessert and a beverage. Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., will have an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The meal includes meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. Donations are $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12. For ticket information call 330-448-1001.

Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Swiss steak in gravy will be served with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, beverage and dessert. Donations are $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Takeouts are available.

SUNDAY

Fowler Volunteer Fire Department will have its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. Prices are $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $4 for children. Preschoolers eat for free.

Highway Tabernacle Church, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will serve a community dinner beginning at 2 p.m. in the Family Life Center (Door 11). The dinner is free and all are welcome. For more details call the church office at 330-792-3000.

Holy Apostles Roman Catholic Church will host their annual roast chicken and chicken noodle soup dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown. VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary will serve a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon at the post, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Meals consist of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
