Threat against staffer locks down Ohio school

PATASKALA, Ohio (AP) — A central Ohio school where bathroom graffiti threatened a staff member is not allowing students in hallways between classes for a second day.

School officials tell multiple media outlets that a message was found on a wall in a boys’ restroom at Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala, east of Columbus. Heightened security measures introduced on Monday were to continue today.

Officials declined to provide specific information about the threat or identify the school employee who was targeted. Schools Superintendent Forest Yocum says Licking County sheriff’s deputies are investigating.
