Gas prices in Valley rise 1 cent to $3.30

YOUNGSTOWN

Gas prices in the Mahoning Valley rose 1 cent during the past week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge report.

The price for regular gasoline in the Valley on Monday was $3.30 a gallon, compared with $3.29 last week.

Ohio gas prices jumped by an average of 10 cents.

Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts the statewide average price for regular gasoline at $3.37 a gallon, compared with $3.27 last week.

One month ago, prices at Ohio pumps were just a penny higher than they are now, with regular averaging $3.38.

Last year at this time, gas was nearly 50 cents cheaper in the state.

Serenity Salon opens in Poland

Friends Business Source, one of Ohio’s largest independently owned office-supply dealers, will host a ribbon-cutting for its new Austintown location at noon Friday.

FBS, at 5211 Mahoning Ave., Suite 130, specializes in office supplies, office furniture, catalog machine supplies, educational services and supplies, custom print technology, promotional products and more. FBS is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
