AUCTIONS

Bloomfield High School, 2077 Park Road W, North Bloomfield, Ohio, will be the setting for a basket auction Friday. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with drawings to begin at 7. Donations will be accepted through the Senior Class adviser at 440-685-4711. Admission is $5, which includes 26 raffle tickets. Additional tickets will be available. Proceeds will benefit the Bloomfield Senior Class.

The Educational Center, Cedar and Morrison avenues, Sharon, Pa., will be the site of a basket auction scheduled for Sunday. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and drawings begin at 3. CRAFT SHOWS

South Range Middle School PTO is seeking vendors for its second annual craft show scheduled for March 10, 2012. Tables can be rented for $25 by calling 330-533-6509 or by emailing kmckee@southrange.org. The application process must be completed by Feb. 25, 2012.

St. Jude Women’s Guild will sponsor its annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Jude Activity Center, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana. The show features hand-crafted and homemade items, a basket auction, bake sale, big prize raffle and lunch counter with a varied menu, including the guild’s special vegetable beef soup. Student Art Association at Youngstown State University will sponsor its Fine Art and Craft Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 and from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 4. The sale will take place at the McDonough Museum of Art, 525 Wick Ave., on the YSU campus. The SAA also will host a chance auction. All proceeds benefit the association.

DANCES

USA Dance, Youngstown-Warren Ballroom Dancers Association, is planning its annual Snowflake Ball from 4 to 9 p.m. Dec. 11 at Avon Oaks Ballroom, 1401 N. State St., Girard. The holiday celebration consisting of dinner, dance and a show is open to the public and will feature Andrew Pueschel and Amanda Wolf, Pittsburgh’s premier dance athletes whose three-year partnership has won multiple Rising Star titles across the country. Dancing will feature Smooth Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Hustle. A limited number of tickets will be sold in advance only through Nov. 27. The prices are $40 for adults and $30 for full-time students. FLEA MARKETS

Columbiana First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., Columbiana, will host its fifth annual Indoor Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday during “Christmas in Columbiana” weekend. The event features 30 vendors who will offer antique, collectible, yard sale, garage sale, craft and flea market items, an eat-in or carryout lunch counter, a quilt raffle and a variety of homemade soups for $6 per quart. Vendors can reserve chairs and an 8-foot table for $12 or a 6-foot table for $10. Girard Eagles 2172 Auxiliary will have a holiday rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at 26 W. Wilson Ave. There will be free doughnuts and coffee with a $5 purchase. Gently used and new Christmas merchandise is being accepted through Thursday. Proceeds will be used to help the less fortunate during the holidays.

Menagerie Thrift and Gift Shoppe, 6037 E. Market St., Warren, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The store sells clothing, furniture, books, antiques, collectibles and Christmas items year round. All purchases benefit Animal Welfare of Trumbull County, a nonprofit organization. First Covenant Church, 5210 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, will have its 40th and final Lucia breakfast and festival Dec. 3. There will be baked goods, a Swedish auction, Swedish items, and singing and dancing. Northeast Ohio Regional Quilt Council announces the 2012 Getaway Weekend, “Quilters Give a Hoot,” which is scheduled for Feb. 17 through 19 at Quail Hollow Resort in Painesville, Ohio. The event will give those interested in quilting the opportunity to take classes, shop hop, relax and meet other quilters.
