YWCA to host truck driver orientation

The YWCA of Youngstown and TDDS Technical Institute in Akron will host a free career orientation session for interested truck drivers form 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the YWCA of Youngstown, 25 W. Rayen Ave.
Speakers will cover the basic information regarding truck driver training and the potential career opportunities.
The workshop will be targeted for women looking for employment, a career change, a higher wage job or job security.

Wild-game dinner set for Wednesday
CANFIELD
Whitetails Unlimited, Inc. will sponsor the Mahoning Valley Chapter Whitetails Unlimited Fundraising Banquet and Wild Game Dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at McMahon Hall, Mill Creek Metroparks Farm, 7574 State Route 62.
The event will feature exotic wild game, an auction, door prizes, sporting equipment, limited edition wildlife and outdoor art and collectibles.
Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner starts at 6.
Tickets cost $100 with membership and gun drawing entry; $50 for dinner and drinks only; or $50 for juniors 15 and under.

Financial company hosting food drive

Carlozzi Financial Services is again helping fill the shelves of the Second Harvest Food Bank.
The public is invited to help feed hungry families this holiday season.
Donations of canned or non-perishable food items can be dropped off anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays at Carlozzi Financial Services. More info, including business address, is at www.CarlozziFinancialServices.com.
Last year, the first in which Carlozzi Financial Services participated, it collected more than 287 pounds of food.
40 Under 40 mixer
YOUNGSTOWN
Mahoning Valley Young Professional’s November Mixer will be dedicated to 40 Under 40 honorees.
The event will take place at the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St. from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and is open to past honorees, MVYP members and friends.
The event combines the MVYP November mixer, the Fall 40 Under 40 Reunion and the 2011 40 Under 40 orientation.
Goodwill check
YOUNGSTOWN
Home Savings Charitable Foundation recently presented an $8,000 check to Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries.
The funds will be used to assist with capital needs and two fundraisers supporting the Junior Group Auction and Employee Awards Banquet.
Goodwill serves those with disabilities and other employment barriers through programs and services.
