Dinner party honors Freeses for anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Freese
NEW MIDDLETOWN
Donald and Betty Freese of New Middletown, formerly of Struthers, celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding at a dinner party Oct. 8 at Blue Wolf Banquet Center, Boardman.
The couple’s children and their spouses hosted the celebration: Nancy and Dr. Alan Siegel of Scottsdale, Ariz.; William and Cynthia Freese of Glendale, Ariz.; and Janet Park of Peoria, Ariz. The family also has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Freese, the former Betty Girts, and Mr. Freese were married Oct. 11, 1961, at Rockville United Methodist Church, Rockville, Md.
Mrs. Freese, a homemaker, retired in 2000 from Kmart Corp. She is a member of Struthers United Methodist Church.
Mr. Freese retired from Anchor Motor Freight in 1997. He served with the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961, and with the National Guard from 1961 to 1965.
The couple are members of Kool Time Kruisers Car Club.
